At Sunshine Services, recreation is more than an activity. It is a pathway to confidence, friendship, community inclusion, and joy. Through Sunshine’s Recreation Department, individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities have the opportunity to participate in activities that encourage personal growth, connection, and meaningful experiences.
This campaign will help support the Recreation Department as a whole, including an immediate need to sponsor 5 athletes traveling to the Special Olympics State Games in Nashville next month. Beyond that, gifts will help sustain recreation opportunities across the department, from special events and outings to equipment, athlete support, and other program needs.
